Angola police arrest man after stolen vehicle crash

ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): A 26-year-old man was arrested after police say he crashed a stolen vehicle.

Jordan Elkins was arrested on preliminary charges of auto theft, operating while intoxicated and possession of paraphernalia, according to the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office.

Angola City Police were called the the 3000 block of South Old 27 at about 5 a.m. on reports of a stolen vehicle. Immediately after the first report, deputies were told about a rollover crash.

When officer arrived, they learned the stolen car was involved in the crash and Elkins was driving the car. Elkins said he was homeless and was hospitalized.
