August Housing Market Shows Significant Improvement from Last Year

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): According to the latest RE/MAX of Indiana housing report, the Allen County real estate market recorded strong year-over-year growth during August. The area had a 14.73% increase in homes sold with 514 total, compared to the same time last year with 448. When looking at individual cities, Fort Wayne had the most significant increase with 9.7%.  Consumers in Allen County who sold their homes in August saw prices for homes sold increase by almost 13 percent when compared to last year. Additionally, the average number of days on mark went down for all areas within Allen County during August. The area as a whole experienced a 13.43% decrease with 58 days on average, and in New Haven, there was a 50% decrease.
