No one hurt in apartment fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): No one was hurt in an apartment fire Saturday evening on the south side of Fort Wayne.

Firefighters responded to a report of an apartment fire in the 2100 block of Chartwell Drive just after 8:15 p.m. A fire in the attic was extinguished in about 15 minutes. Seven people, including two children, were evacuated from eight apartments.

The building had minor smoke and water damage, with moderate fire damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
