FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The man shot and killed Tuesday night, on Avondale Drive, has been identified. 55-year-old Robert Moore was shot to death on the front porch of a home on Avondale Drive near Lafayette Street, that according to the Journal Gazette.
Fort Wayne Police Department Spokesman Chris Felton said just before 11 p.m., officers heard the gunshots coming from the home. As the officers were arriving to the scene, someone called 911 reporting that shots were fired. Once on the scene, officers found Moore on the porch of the home, suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers performed first aid, but medics arrived and pronounced him dead on the scene. Moore’s death is the 35th homicide in Allen County this year.
