City Cleanup Efforts Continue

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Some city streets remain covered after Sunday's snowstorm. Fort Wayne crews are ahead of schedule, and they're focusing today on secondary streets, but there's a lot to cover.

Mayor Tom Henry joined Fort Wayne's Morning News Monday and says “We have about 1200 miles of streets and roads in Fort Wayne…it's about the distance from Fort Wayne to Orlando, Florida.” Henry encourages residents to move cars from streets if possible to allow plows to get all the snow cleared.

John Perlich, spokesperson for the City of Fort Wayne, also notes that with the extreme cold temperatures, salting efforts are not as effective.
