Contract for River Development Study Gets Final OK

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A contract for a River Development Study has received final approval. The contract is between the City of Fort Wayne and SWA Group and was approved last night by Fort Wayne City Council. The amount for the study, just under $500,000, is funded through Legacy money. Today, Mayor Tom Henry named the group of citizens and staff who will guide the study, which will focus on land use, engineering and infrastructure investment, access to the river, and other areas of interest. The Advisory Committee will first meet December 5, when SWA visits Fort Wayne, and will begin its 12-18-month process.
