FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Just after 4 Saturday afternoon, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a house fire on Smith Street. Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the back of the home and also from the attic area. It took less than 15 minutes to extinguish the fire that was located in the kitchen. The residents evacuated before crews arrived, and no injuries were reported. The home sustained moderate smoke, fire, and water damage. The cause is still unknown.
