Dalton Corporation Announces Permanent Closure Of Warsaw Facility

WARSAW, Ind. (WOWO) — Dalton Corporation will permanently close its Warsaw facility next month, a move that will impact more than 250 employees.

A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice filed with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development on Dec. 29 states the facility, located at 1900 E. Jefferson St., will shut down in March, according to our partners in news at 21ALIVE.

According to the notice, 262 employees will be affected by the closure. 257 workers are scheduled to be laid off effective Feb. 27, when the closure process begins.

Five additional employees will remain temporarily to assist with matters related to the shutdown. The final closure of the facility is expected to be completed by March 1.

The company said the closure is expected to be permanent.
