Deadline Approaching for Educational Tax Credit

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): State Treasurer Richard Mourdock is reminding Hoosiers that to be eligible for the CollegeChoice 529 state income tax credit, their contribution has to be received by December 31 of this year. Indiana residents who put money in to a CollegeChoice 529 Savings Plan before that date are eligible to get a 20% state income tax credit, of up to $1,000, based on contributions. The savings plans are tax-advantaged educational savings programs that give Hoosiers an affordable, flexible way to save for college costs.
