AUBURN, Ind. (WOWO): A DeKalb County metal recycler could be expanding.

Waterloo's Metal X is looking at a second location in Auburn. One of those is a former Alcoa plant on the city's southwest side. The project is expected to be worth around $8 million dollars. Tuesday the city granted initial approval for tax relief.  They are said to be looking at state aid as well.

The site is expected to salvage metal from junk cars. If approved it could bring about mean 45 jobs over the next few years.
