Disappearance of IU Student Hits 2 Years

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP): The Bloomington Police Department says it’s received more than 3,000 tips in the two years since an Indiana University student from New York went missing. Lauren Spierer vanished June 3, 2011, after a night out with friends. At commencement ceremonies last night, IU President Michael McRobbie asked those in attendance to keep Spierer and her family in their thoughts.
