ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — A man was killed Monday afternoon in a crash at the intersection of East Ferguson and Muldoon roads, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies were called to the scene around 3 p.m. and found a pickup truck in a ditch and an SUV stopped in the intersection. Investigators said both vehicles had been traveling east on Ferguson Road when the pickup went off the shoulder, overcorrected, and then struck the SUV before rolling several times.

The driver of the pickup was pronounced dead at the scene after lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. He was the only person in the truck. A passenger in the SUV was taken to a hospital in serious condition.

The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s department, along with the Allen County Coroner’s and Prosecutor’s offices. The coroner will release the victim’s identity at a later time.
