FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The East Allen County Schools Board has chosen a new Superintendent.

The board announced Tuesday afternoon they’ve chosen Doug Hicks to take the reigns and have made him an offer. Hicks is currently the principal of East Allen University and has worked in education for more than 24 years.

The board will be holding a public hearing on the Superintendent’s contract on July 11th, and will proceed with approving it at another meeting on July 18th.
