FORT WAYNE, Ind (WOWO): Former IPFW Chancellor Michael Wartell alleges that he was fired because he was male. The case maintains that France Cordova, the former Chancellor at Purdue University, wanted to have more women in leadership roles. 

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, Cordova highlighted that Wartell would be replaced by a woman. Wartell was pushed out at IPFW, because he reached the schools mandatory retirement age of 65. His replacement, Vicky Carwein, was 64 when she was hired.
