FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne business suffered heavy damage in a Tuesday night fire.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department was called to Hometown Filter on Maumee Avenue at about 5:35pm to find more than half of the building already engulfed in flames and smoke.

Crews started to fight the fire inside the building but evacuated after the metal roof near the rear of the building started to sag. The fire was eventually under control at about 7pm.

Nobody was hurt, and the cause is under investigation.
