FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne’s getting some positive recognition in a new national study.

A study by WalletHub that compares 150 of the largest cities in the U.S. lists Fort Wayne as the 5th “best-run” city in the country. City spokesman John Perlich tells WOWO news it’s confirmation that the city’s moving in the right direction:

“We’re very encouraged by the report,” Perlich says. “If you look back at their report in 2015, we were #10, so to move up to #5 is a great compliment to all the work being done.”

He adds there’s always room for improvement, listing infrastructure as “one of those items that never goes away.”
