Fort Wayne Man Arrested On Multiple Charges

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — A 25-year-old Fort Wayne man has been arrested following an investigation into allegations of child molestation involving multiple victims, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.

Police say the investigation began on January 3, 2026, after officers received a report that a six-year-old girl had been touched inappropriately. The suspect was identified as Breon Russell. Detective Michelle Brown with the FWPD Crimes Against Persons Unit was assigned to the case.

During the investigation, detectives learned of a second child who was also allegedly touched in an inappropriate manner by Russell.

On January 9, 2026, investigators with the Crimes Against Persons Unit, Gang & Violent Crimes Unit, and Vice & Narcotics Division worked together to locate Russell. He was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail.

Russell faces multiple felony charges, including one count of Child Molesting (Attempt), a Level 1 felony; one count of Child Molesting, a Level 2 felony; one count of Child Molesting, a Level 3 felony; one count of Child Exploitation, a Level 4 felony; and one count of Possession of Child Pornography, a Level 4 felony.

Police note that the charges are preliminary and that the investigation remains ongoing.
