FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A guilty plea was entered by a Fort Wayne man accused of attempted murder.

29-year-old Brent Browning pleaded guilty to his attempted murder charge in Allen County court Thursday, according to the News-Sentinel.

In January, police responded to a home on Huffman Street and found a woman unresponsive inside the. A friend of the woman called police after she heard a scuffle break out on the phone between the victim and Browning.

Despite being in critical condition and being rushed to surgery, the victim survived.

Browning will be sentenced on June 20. His plea deal calls for a 20 year prison sentence.
