Fort Wayne Police Seek Help in Identifying Robbery Suspect

Right now detectives are investigating a gas station robbery that happened on Wednesday, January 2nd around 7:25 a.m. on N. Clinton Street. 

The suspect entered the gas station, browsed the store, and then walked up to the counter as if to make a purchase. 

Instead he pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the register.  He then took off…There were no injuries reported and detectives did get an in-store video of the robbery suspect (see link below) and are asking for anyone knowing the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to contact police or Crime Stoppers at (260) 436- STOP [7867].

The suspect was described by witnesses as a stocky black male, approximately 6’ tall, and is seen in the following video clip wearing a dark ‘poofy’ coat, and a dark-colored winter hat with gray fur lining.
