FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Funeral services have been set for a Fort Wayne community activist who died over the weekend.

84-year-old Ian Rolland passed away Saturday. The former Lincoln National Corp. CEO was known for spearheading efforts to raise funding for the construction of Fort Wayne’s Headwaters Park, in addition to helping lead the charge on desegregation in Fort Wayne Community Schools.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Turnstone Center on North Clinton Street on Friday from noon to 8pm, with his visitation and funeral set for Saturday at 1pm, according to the News-Sentinel.

Mayor Tom Henry called Rolland a “champion” of many causes in Fort Wayne.
