Goshen College’s L.G.B.T.Q. Hiring Policy Being Explained

ELKHART COUNTY,Ind. (WOWO):  Goshen College's L.G.B.T.Q. hiring policy is being explained. This after a lesbian staffer resigned from her job earlier this month, saying that she worried about being in violation.

Officials with the school say employees are required to agree to a document called the “commitment to community standards” when they are hired, which states that sex should be between a man and a woman. These standards are legal, according to the Indiana Civil Rights Commission. There is no federal or state law that requires an employer to hire or not hire a person based on their sexual orientation.
