INDIANAPOLIS (AP): One Indiana state agency is celebrating the state’s 200th anniversary by honoring the state’s founders this summer with graveside ceremonies.

The Indiana Archives and Records Administration plans more than three dozen ceremonies between June 10 to 23. The News and Tribune reports the ceremonies will honor early settlers who established Indiana’s statehood and drafted its Constitution.

The events will take place in 22 counties and around the anniversary of Indiana’s 1816 Constitutional Convention. Each ceremony will have a flag and wreath-laying and military honors if they apply. Speakers will talk about the founder’s life.
