Home Invasion Arrest

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) – A northern Indiana man faces a felony charge for allegedly entering a home he was evicted from several months ago and locking himself inside for hours.

Thirty-three-year-old Michael Edmondson was arrested Monday on a residential entry charge. He remained jailed without bond Tuesday at the Allen County Lockup.

Fort Wayne officer Raquel Foster tells the Journal Gazette (http://bit.ly/Ql52mV http://bit.ly/Ql52mV ) that Edmondson had tried once before to enter the home where someone else now lives, reportedly to get his belongings.
He allegedly returned Monday morning, entered through an unsecured door and locked himself inside. Foster says two teenagers who had been inside the home escaped from the residence without incident after Edmondson entered.

He surrendered without incident to SWAT team officers about three hours after entering the home.
