Hotel Developer White Resigns from Purdue Trustees

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) _ Hotel developer Bruce White has resigned from the Purdue University Board of Trustees.
 
Trustees Chairman Tom Spurgeon said Wednesday that White resigned to devote more time to his family and his business. The Chicago businessman is founder, chairman and chief executive officer of White Lodging.
 
The Purdue alumnus has been a trustee since 2011, have been appointed by former Gov. Mitch Daniels. Current Gov. Mike Pence reappointed White last July.


White was among the trustees who unanimously named Daniels president of Purdue in June 2012.

 
Pence will appoint a trustee to complete White's term ending on June 30, 2017.
