MUNSTER, Ind. (AP) _ Factories and warehouses in northwestern Indiana that sat empty for years are being snatched up by companies as the industrial market rebounds.
 
The Times reports the vacancy rate for the region's industrial properties has fallen to one of the lowest levels in decades.
 
The vacancy rate peaked at more than 12 percent at the end of 2009 but now stands at just over 7 percent.
 
More than 700,000 square feet of industrial space is under construction.
