Indy Aiming for Super Bowl

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Indianapolis has entered the race for the 2018 Super Bowl. 


With state and local government leaders nearby, Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay announced the effort saying Indianapolis was the gold standard for how Super Bowls run.

The city will make a formal presentation in October, with a decision expected next May.

Also in the running for pro football’s top game is Denver, Minneapolis, Tampa and New Orleans.

Indy hosted the Super Bowl in 2012.
