IPFW to Become Tobacco – Free

<span style=”font-size: 18px;”>FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Another local organization is going to be tobacco-free. Beginning April 1st, 2014, the use of cigarettes, cigars and any tobacco product will be prohibited at Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne.

The ban also extends to electronics cigarettes and covers the campus and any site owned or operated by the school.

Officials say the ban is an effective way to limit preventable disease and death and also makes IPFW a healthier place. Indiana and Purdue Universities along with their network of campuses already ban tobacco.
