IRS Scams Are On The Rise

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): State Police are reporting another IRS calling scam that's making its way to Indiana residents.

According to a press release, the scam is similar to past warnings on alleged government representatives who call to threaten immediate jailing for not cooperating.

The most recent scam involves someone calling from the number, 347-3898-0029.

An unverified caller would ask for personal information, including bank account numbers, social security numbers, birth dates, and credit card number.
