IU Player Hanner Mosquera-Perea Suspended Indefinitely

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana University forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea has been suspended indefinitely, according to an announcement made by IU head basketball coach Tom Crean.

Friday night, Crean tweeted that Mosquera-Perea was being suspended indefinitely, following the 21-year-old’s arrest on preliminary drunk driving charges around 3:00 a.m., Friday morning. 

According to Crean, Mosquera-Perea’s suspension will begin with Saturday’s game at Purdue.

A campus police officer stopped Mosquera-Perea after he hit a curb twice. Mosquera-Perea had a blood-alcohol content twice Indiana's legal limit of 0.08

Mosquera-Perea has played in all 24 of IU's games this season, averaging 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds.
