INDIANA (WOWO): Some Indiana residents are once again falling for a scam designed to scare people into paying fabricated jury trial fines.

Here's what happens: A caller tells you that you owe a fine for not showing up for jury selection. At least two people have reported receiving such calls from a man who even went as far as to tell them a warrant would be issued for their arrest if they did not pay up. The scammers are telling people to pay $996.00.  Officials call the scam “a complete tactic aimed at scaring good citizens.”
