Kokomo Police Reopen Investigation Into Decade-Old Homicides

KOKOMO, Ind. (AP): Police in Kokomo say they're reopening the investigation into a fire intentionally set in 2005 that left four people dead.

Sgt. Dan Stout says that evidence will be resubmitted to the Indiana State Police Crime Lab. He says there have been advancements over the last decade.

Heavy smoke and flames engulfed the home where 25-year-old Amy Parrish and three children were found dead on Feb. 20, 2005. Parrish's husband was the only family member to survive the fire. Police at the time said the fire was set on purpose.

Stout says “any case that goes unsolved where four people lose their lives is a case that never goes away.''

Investigators also want to conduct more interviews, hoping someone saw something and will be ready to talk about it.
