The Elmira Jackals avoided a 3-game sweep on Sunday by beating the Komets 4-1 in ECHL hockey. Former Komet Mike Vaskivuo scored twice for the Jackals, who had fallen to the K's 4-3 on Friday and 4-0 on Saturday. Chris Auger scored the lone Fort Wayne goal. After a game in Wheeling on Wednesday, the Komets will return to Coliseum ice Friday hosting Elmira.
