Lobos Hire Former Fury Player Craig Neal to Replace Alford

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) _ New Mexico has promoted former Fort Wayne Fury player Craig Neal to be the new men’s basketball coach, replacing Steve Alford who left for UCLA. Neal has spent the past six years as the associate head coach at New Mexico under Alford and was also an assistant to Alford at Iowa. Players and fans have voiced their support for Neal in recent days.
