Man Charged with Beating Teenage Son

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A city man is charged with battery after he allegedly broke his son's arm last week.

According to the Journal-Gazette, Forty-two year-old Jhonny Young allegedly slammed the boy to the ground and punched him the face after the boy had gotten into trouble at school.

Young is charged with battery causing serious bodily injury and battery causing injury. The man was also charged with another beating against his son. The report says the boy had gotten in trouble at school, sparking the violent confrontation after he brought home a note on December 18.

A witness says she went to the Young's home and found the teen with a bloody nose. When she attempted to help, the father continued to fight.

Three other children were reportedly in the home on South Harrison Street.
