Man Hit by Two Vehicles on Coliseum, Identified

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The man hit by two vehicles on Coliseum Boulevard, just south of Lake Avenue, has been identified as 58-year-old Jamie Fredrick.

Around 10:48 p.m. Saturday night, Fredrick was trying to cross Coliseum when he walked into the path of a vehicle driving southbound and was hit.  At that point Fredrick fell and attempted to stand up, but in the act was struck by another vehicle also traveling southbound on Coliseum. 

He was pronounced dead on the scene. According to the Allen County Coroner’s report he died of blunt force trauma and the nature of the incident has been ruled an accident.

Frederick is the fifth traffic fatality for Fort Wayne and Allen County this year.
