Man Pretends to be “Home Detention” in Shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police are looking for the suspect in a shooting who pretended to be Home Detention in order to get inside the house. Fort Wayne Police were called to Oxford Street near Wayne Trace. When they got to the scene, officers found several bullet holes in the front door and a blood trail leading into the home. Police found the victim, 34-year-old Marcus McGee, inside, applying pressure to chest wounds. McGee told police a man knocked on the door, saying “Home Detention,” and he answered, because he's on Community Corrections. When McGee opened the door, a black man in dark clothing started shooting at him. McGee then pushed the man back and shut the door. McGee was hit in the chest, hand, and hip area. The suspect is described as a black man, standing 6'1″, with a skinny build, a small afro, and dressed in all black clothing. The victim said he did not know the suspect.
