Mayor Henry Says City is Safe

Fort Wayne has had five slayings in the past week but Mayor Tom Henry is reassuring its residents that the state’s second largest city is safe. Henry said yesterday that the city’s 12 homicides so far this year all targeted specific individuals and were not random acts of violence. He says investigators have linked the slayings to drugs, gangs and domestic violence.
