Mayor Tom Henry optimistic about Fort Wayne’s future following passage of 2024 city budget

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Mayor Tom Henry expressed his optimism and confidence in Fort Wayne’s future after the passage of the 2024 City of Fort Wayne budget with minimal cuts. The Mayor highlighted the city’s exceptional financial health and the commitment to ongoing growth and development.

“Fort Wayne is a city on the move that’s experiencing growth and success like never before. Tonight’s passage of the budget for 2024 with minimal cuts demonstrates how well we’re doing financially, and the best days are ahead of us,” said Mayor Tom Henry in a statement.

He emphasized the significance of fiscal discipline and management, which are crucial for working with residents, neighborhoods, and businesses to invest in projects and initiatives that will have a lasting and meaningful impact.

“My administration is committed to helping make Fort Wayne the best city possible to live, work, and play. I’m looking forward to substantial investments in neighborhood infrastructure in 2024, as well as a continued commitment to public safety and parks,” Mayor Henry added.
