Meth Lab Seizures Down in 2012

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Indiana has made the top of a list, but it's not a positive one. Figures obtained by The Associated Press show that meth lab seizures and arrests declines nationwide last year, but the drug continues to hit hardest in the nation's heartland. The Drug Enforcement Administration gave statistics showing over 12 thousand meth lab incidents in 2012, down 5.5 percent from the previous year. Experts say it's too early to know why the numbers dropped, and some say preliminary 2013 numbers are going up. But, ti was the second straight year of decline. Missouri has been the leader in meth lab incidents almost every year in the last decade, and this year it was followed by Tennessee, Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois.
