New Haven Job Creation Numbers Dropped

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): An Elkhart company that recently bought a New Haven boat seat manufacturer is revising the number of jobs they plan on creating.

Unfortunately, the number of jobs is going down, as Lippert Components Incorporated says they'll now create only 75 new positions at the old Signature Seating plant on Nelson road as opposed to the originally announced 125. The Journal Gazette says the news came down last week and was made official at Tuesday night's New Haven City Council meeting.

The company says it made a mistake in its calculations, also overestimating the plant's equipment value by around $50,000.
