“Not Guilty” Plea Entered on Behalf of Man Charged in Cemetery Murder

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The man charged for murdering 30-year-old Katherine Gick was in court Tuesday morning and had a “not guilty” plea, entered on his behalf.

According to our Partners in News at 21Alive, 20-year-old Quinn Albers was at his initial hearing and made a request for a public defender to represent him.

Gick's body was found in an underdeveloped area of the Catholic Cemetery, located off Lake Avenue in Fort Wayne. When the body was found on Monday, October 20th, investigators noticed her body had multiple puncture woulds and was at one point, set on fire.

Albers will be back in court on November 12th. He initially told police he was abusing bath salts at the time, with no recollection of killing the woman.
