Numerous Construction Projects Planned at Indiana University

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) _ Work is almost complete on the $53 million School of Global and International Studies at Indiana University and it's just one of more than a dozen construction projects on the school's docket.

The building will house the new school, along with dozens of departments in foreign language, social studies and humanities. After two years of work on the $53 million project, construction is expected to wrap up Friday, with crews moving furniture into the building Monday.

Additional projects include work on Assembly Hall, the Kelley School of Business and a groundbreaking on a new medical school in downtown Evansville this fall.

Indiana University, University of Southern Indiana and University of Evansville are partnering on the medical school. It's scheduled to open by the end of 2017.
