FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): One person was injured in a mobile home fire on Kelso Lane.

Fort Wayne fire crews arrived at 1:26 p.m., Wednesday afternoon. Once on the scene firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the mobile home. Firemen immediately went inside and began searching, while others worked to extinguish the fire.

One person was found in a back bedroom. The patient was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. A dog was also inside the home, but escaped while crews worked the fire. The home suffered minor fire and water damage. but suffered heavy smoke damage. Meanwhile, the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
