FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) – A northeastern Indiana hospital announced it will not be able to proceed with its plan to open an autism treatment center to serve children ages 2 to 18.
 
The Journal Gazette reports Parkview Huntington Hospital announced Friday that it can't move ahead with the  plan it announced in October because of delays in state review and approval of the project layout and because of a lack of partnerships with behavioral therapists.
 
Parkview Huntington says plans for the facility were submitted to the Indiana State Department of Health for review and approval, but it not received a response.
 
The center was to offer therapeutic and rehabilitation services, and would have provided support-group meetings for families of autistic children.
