POE, Ind. (WOWO): A proposed paintball field in Allen County was shot down Wednesday.

Katherine Runkle of New Haven wanted her son to operate a commercial paintball field on Winchester Road near the village of Poe, according to the Journal-Gazette.

The Allen County Board of Zoning Appeals rejected a variance request by Runkle after numerous neighbors voiced their opposition to the proposal Wednesday, saying it’d be an eyesore and that noise and increased traffic would hurt property values.

They also pointed out that part of the property is in a flood plain.
