Police: 2 Killed In Separate Crashes On I-65 In White County

MONTICELLO, Ind. (AP) – Authorities say two people were killed in separate crashes following a large wreck on Interstate 65 in White County.

Indiana State Police say heavy fog contributed to a multi-vehicle accident Tuesday night near Prairie Township. Police say one person died and multiple others were injured in the crash.

State Police say the initial accident caused another crash in which a second person was killed. Police say several minor crashes also occurred in the backed-up traffic.

WTHR-TV reports at least two portions of I-65 in Tippecanoe and Jasper counties were closed following the accidents.
