Police Bust the Man Who Robbed the Wells Fargo Bank…

An arrest has been made in connection with the October 17, 2012 Wells Fargo Bank robbery investigation.  Earlier this afternoon on Eden Street, officers and detectives with the Fort Wayne Police Department apprehended the suspect, Alex White, and took him into custody without incident.  White was later transported to the Allen County Jail on a Class B felony charge of robbery.

Calls were received in response to the bank surveillance images that were released to the public.  Identification of the perpetrator would not have been so quickly made without the assistance of the local media and the anonymous tips.

The incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.  There is nothing further at this time.
