Police Chase Starts In Columbia City, Ends In Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A police chase that started in Columbia City ended in Fort Wayne this morning.

The Columbia City Police were called to a gas station on Tuesday morning after a call of a theft. They were given a vehicle description and able to catch up, eventually finding them. They tried to make a stop at US 30 and 300 E just east of Columbia City, but the suspects fled to Fort Wayne. The pursuit was taken over by the Allen County Sheriff's Department and Fort Wayne Police as they continued to stop the fleeing duo.   

The suspects eventually found their way to side streets and it ended at the dead end on Revere Place near St. Joe Center Road and Maplecrest Road.

Columbia City Police transported the suspects to the Whitley County Jail. Cory Aspy and Kaylie Franklin were booked on charges of conversion, reckless driving, operating while never licensed, resisting law enforcement, auto theft and theft.
