Prescription Board Tightens Watch on Painkillers

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Indiana's Medical Licensing Board is attempting to curb prescription drug abuse amid a rise in fatal overdoses. The panel voted last week on a new rule to help patients and physicians keep better track of prescription drugs. Starting December 15th, doctors will have to monitor patient histories through a state drug-monitoring system. <br />
