Prison For Plymouth Mother Whose Daughter Was Beaten to Death

PLYMOUTH, Ind. (WOWO): It's a 35-year sentence for Krysti Lavanway, the Plymouth mother, charged in connection with the death of her daughter.

Lavanway pleaded guilty of felony neglect Wednesday. With that, the Marshall County prosecutor dropped murder charge against her.

It was back in September when Lavanway's 2-year-old daughter, Serenity Wilson, died due to head injuries after prosecutors say she was beaten by Lavanway's boyfriend, Shane Weedling. He faces murder charges.

Lavanway cried as she was taken away when the hearing ended.
